Olivia Rodrigo delved into Thierry Mugler’s archives for the Variety Hitmakers Brunch in Los Angeles on Saturday. Her little black vintage halter dress was from the designer’s Fall 1998 collection.
The “Guts” singer wore patent leather peep-toe heels and wore her brunette locks in a sleek ponytail. Her makeup, meanwhile, consisted of winged eyeliner and a gradient lip.

Variety’s annual Hitmakers event honors the best artists of the year. This year’s honorees include Charli XCX, Laufeny and Lainey Wilson. Other high-profile attendees at the brunch included Lana Del Rey, Reba McEntire and “Bottoms” actress Rachel Sennott.
Last month, Rodrigo was named Lancôme’s newest global brand ambassador.
“In beauty, it is so important to embrace your own individuality as there are many unrealistic expectations placed on young women today,” Rodrigo said in a statement. “Lancôme is an iconic and timeless brand that promotes beauty from within, and I am honored to be a part of their family.”
Other celebrity ambassadors for the French beauty and skincare brand included Julia Roberts, Lily Collins, Zendaya and Amanda Seyfried.
“Olivia is an incredible talent, an extraordinary phenomenon,” said Françoise Lehmann, president of international brand Lancôme, in an interview. “She is a person who radiates strength and authenticity. [Olivia] is a lighthouse for her generation. She invents her own way, doesn’t allow herself to be pigeonholed into any mold and invents something new.”
Rodrigo is known for favoring vintage fashion: At the 2024 Grammy Awards in February, she wore a sequined Versace dress from the Spring 1995 collection that was originally worn on the runway by Linda Evangelista.
